OMG: Edcom has gone WAY downhill.

They used to be hot......

Especially the females. Please do not show your Belly Button when you have a massive muffin top..it is not attractive.

  1. this may shock you but some women make clothing choices based on other factors than what some asshole they don't want to talk to finds attractive

i personally find chubby girls with crop tops to be very cute, it's a look i like a lot

  2. What on earth is the point of the moderators if sexist, body shaming bullshit like this gets through?

    1. Lol, triggered. If you can't handle that people have ideal body types that appeal to them sexually, then maybe you should get off the internet.

  3. @2: this is actually pretty tame compared to the stuff i saw while i was at uw (2011-2015) but the reason they don't filter stuff like this out is because people get angry but at least they're commenting, since omguw has fucking died

  4. Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Is it possible to unsee things?

Then they have belly button piercings, reminds me of large chunks of raw chicken on a kebab stick.

There are so few girls around so many dudes they just let themselves go and it doesn't change a thing.

  5. Attractiveness aside Edcom is one of the saddest things about Waterloo.

Really says a lot about the school when our socially awkward nerd children can be intimidated into good behaviour by slightly older socially awkward nerd children acting like douches and playing dressup.

    1. Do you even know what the purpose of Edcom is? Literally for crowd control during the frosh events - if no one listens to them when there is no issue, then how are situations supposed to be handled when there's a crisis?

    2. Should have clarified. I have great respect and appreciation for the job edcom does on Frosh week, and know that it goes far beyond walking around acting like a tool.

It's the persona (and it's effectiveness) that's a fucking joke. It's great from a tradition/ school spirit point of view, but that's what it is- a gimmicky tradition, not a necessity to do the job.

    3. ^Well yeah, that's the point. Nobody *actually* thinks the Edcom persona actually intimidates first-years into doing whatever they're told. But it's a tradition they're pretty proud of.

  6. @5.b you seem like a pretty big party pooper...not helping school spirit.

  7. I talked to an EDCOMM chap once, he says the game of acting all tough for the first years is a lot of fun.
