OMG: I picked Waterloo AFM over Queens Commerce, Schulich BBA and Laurier BBA, and a lot of people are telling me I made a mistake. Is Waterloo AFM that bad?
I'm in 3rd year AFM and I regret it. You could go somewhere else, pay way less tuition, be a lot less stressed and end up working at the same place. And people in AFM secretly hate eachother
The other schools probably would have been a better choice. You'd likely have a better social life. And from what I know, those schools are more prestigious for those programs
who cares about social life or "prestige" if you graduate without co-op and job experience? May be more expensive upfront but easier to make back because of co-op and you'll pay it off quicker after graduation when you land a higher paying job that a Queens graduate with no experience
Brock and Laurier have co-op and are way cheaper. Also you can just find a summer job if you really want experience. and i'm pretty sure Queens students can get a good job after graduation no problem because Queens commerce has a really good reputation
Yea I agree with 7a. You can have a social life, job experience, AND pay less money. Dont have to sacrifice two of those for co-op. Once you graduate, you can use the money o n better things than paying student debt. Its not like only UW grads land good jobs.
Out of those choices they're all pretty much similar. The only glaring difference is that AFM is really fucking expensive.
