We've got the highest admissions average in Ontario, are consistently listed in the top 150 or top 200 in the world by every major ranking system, and the top 10 in the country by every domestic university ranking, and are one of the top 15 universities in Canada for research. The Prime Minister uses us as an example of the best Canada can offer, in his off-the-cuff remarks at international events. Our post-graduation employment rates are the envy of other schools, and there is no other coop system on the planet that can match ours for size and scope.
But sure, I guess we aren't a "respected institution" if you alone don't respect us. That's fine.
+1 to 4a. The real problem Waterloo has is an overabundance of people who hate themselves. People that don't like who they are have trouble liking where they're at. My advice: stop blaming everything around you and get good.
@4c. It's stupid to compare universities. you are enrolled in a *program*. Our best programs are miles better than those of the universities you mentioned. So it really depends what are you studying here. It you are here in a crap program you have no one but yourself to blame.
@4.b) Do you have facts behind that statistic and how it compares to other universities? Otherwise you're just providing your own biased perspective.
@4.c) Good luck getting a full time job when you're going up against Waterloo graduates with 2 years of work experience. You'd be surprised to see how much employers will value work experience over academic courses.
@4.e) Weakly constructed argument *sigh*. Can you even try constructing a logical argument with supporting facts and statistics? Good luck in the real world if that's how you debate with people. lol.

ReplyDeleteHahahahaha hahahahaha hahahahah... hah
Ok buddy
Engineers think they are geniuses...
DeleteBuddy you're just a fucking calculator, a robot plugging numbers into equations. No thinking involved, easier than arts.
Which other programs have you taken?
ReplyDeleteLOL , could you expand on your reasoning. This post has me intrigued
ReplyDeleteINTEGRALS BRO. HARDEST SHIT EVER
Delete- OP
Anything at UW is overrated and overpriced. Don't try to justify not being able to attend a respected institution.

DeleteUW pales in comparison to respected universities (McGill, U of T, McMaster, Queens, UBC, even the U of A to name a few).
DeleteBut if you attend UW then somehow you're brainwashed to think you're at the level of MIT. I believe there is a uw/reddit thread solely about that.

Delete@4.d A UW student would think their program is superior. That is my point.

I assume this is 4.a because it reeks of pretentiousness.
DeleteAfter 4 years here, whenever an engineer says stupid shit like this, I just smile.
