OMG: UW Food Services, why the hell don't you take credit? Was just at the SLC Tim Horton's, make my order, then learn they don't take credit. Now the stuff they made is just going to get trashed since I had nothing else to pay with. How does this not cause a bigger loss than offering credit? Get with the times already and offer the full spectrum of payment options.

  1. They've never offered credit. They only recently started to take debit. Im not sure if it still is however they always had a note indicating the type of payments they accept. Don't hold them accountable since its common knowledge plus they put note of which payment they accept. Also, there are large transactions costs a business has to pay if they accept credit. If they allow students to use credit for 2 dollar coffees, they end up losing money so it makes sense why they dont accept it.

  5. There are signs at the entrance and at each register that tell you what payments are accepted. It's your own fault you can't read.

Plus, if you haven't yet paid, your order game yet been made (with the possible exception of your drink), so they're not tossing much. Even with the drink, they'll keep it on the counter/in the fridge for a few minutes in case someone else orders the same thing. Which happens a lot, especially with ice caps.

  6. You clearly have no idea how much it costs a company to accept credit cards. Plus you're slowing down the line with this shit. Use Cash or Watcard

  7. So it's their fault you had nothing else to pay with. This is exactly what you're saying. How about behaving like a grownup, getting with the times and carrying a "full spectrum" of payment options on you, OP?
