Just a friendly reminder that this guy is our prime minister: http://i.imgur.com/S4RRSNO.png So proud of being a Canadian right now!

  1. Oh so marching in a Pride Parade outweighs selling arms to regressive regimes like Saudi Arabia, continuing to support the intrusive Bill C-51, selling out Canadian jobs by rushing into free-trade deals with China, continuing to blow the military budget on the F-35, supporting the Keystone XL and Northern Gateway pipelines ... but it's all good because he's charismatic, right?

    1. Those are completely separate issues, and he can't be in two places at once. I agree that the things you listed should be dealt with, but that really has nothing to do with him going out to a gay pride parade. That's like taking a picture of him at McDonalds and saying "look at this failure Trudeau, going out and enjoying himself for a bit. Eating a burger outweighs selling arms to regressive regimes I guess".
It's simply irrelevant. He could cancel Bill C-51 tomorrow and still go out to the gay pride parade. They aren't mutually exclusive.

  2. As a gay man, this is nothing but patronizing. I already miss Harper.

    1. Loll you got cucked hard.

      > no more tuition tax credits
      > muh 10 billion deficit
      > actually 30 billion
      > refugees (because we can afford that, right?)
      > still spying on your internet
      > still no legal weed

Haven't you learned not to trust liberals anon?

    2. 8a... EXACTLY!!! You have listed the "most important" things the Liberals have done to fuckup Canada. Ye everyone is ignorant until 2 weeks before the election, and they see "stop Harper" yet this is much better?!

    3. Harper wanted to throw me in jail for smoking weed.

He is therefore a retard and incapable of running a country.

    4. @5c Yeah but Justin is still throwing you in jail for smoking weed. Ok.... he is maybe studying the possibility of coming up with a plan for potentially legalizing weed within a few years, so we gotta give him credit for that. Expect a $10 million feasibility report, a few parliamentary committees and a half-baked bill that will never go through the senate. We're at stage 0 now.

The weed thing is a meme issue you're all fixated on while there are much more important things happening right now with this government.

    5. I don't actually really give a shit what party is in power, but I'm voting liberal from now on just to fuck with the conservatives constantly going apeshit over how the liberals have "fucked up" this country.

    6. @5e: So fucking this country up just to stick to "those damn tories" is somehow a good thing?

    7. 5f, you're implying a new government can fuck up the country in just 4 years. Which the really, truly can't. The federal government doesn't have nearly enough short-term influence on your day-to-day life for that to happen.

    8. I didn't like Harper, so I voted against him. Being in power for such a long time has a tendency to make you corrupt (see also: previous Liberal governments again and again). However, I am very disappointed in Trudeau and the way he manages public finances. I can't wait for Conservatives to be back in power.

    9. ^That's fair. Voting out the old government to hit the "refresh" button on the party leadership is a legit strategy.

I think Trudeau's got a good 6-8 years in office ahead of him though. We don't typically vote in parties we like unless there's a government we really dislike to vote out - and Trudeau's policies so far are popular. His ministers are popular. And the Tories still look too much like the government we just got rid of.

Electoral reform could completely change the game too though. If it's ranked ballot, it'll be hard for the Tories to get back in (in their current state). If it's some form of Proportional Rep, then each election will end with a bunch of minority parties scrambling to form power coalitions, and we might find ourselves changing Prime Ministers every 2-5 years... so who knows?

  6. I don't get why people are so paranoid about immigrants. Old stock conservatives seem to be doing a pretty good job of adopting 3rd world homophobic and misogynistic views themselves.

  7. JUST FUCK MY SHIT UP!
Bad oil prices, bad economy, depreciating spending power, nobody wants to have kids in Canada except immigrants, etc. It's a horrid place to live, we should actually learn from the US who actually know how to do it.

    1. >everyone else is the problem but me!

How about you start taking responsibility for your own shortcomings for a change instead of blaming others? Self pity is pathetic.

    2. 8a,

Are you so brain-dead as to think that all these extraneous factors are within the control of any one individual?
