OMG: Hey everyone! Imprint wants to do a series on student poverty. We're looking for anyone who'd be willing to share their story on the subject. Email us at: news@uwimprint.ca
Being a student isn't the same as having long term poverty. Take the OSAP and the student lines of credits and spend your money responsibly. Work in the summer terms or if you really have to... in between each term like coop students.
Leave it to Imprint to fail to mention the controls and limitations of their studies. Soon, we get to read about how a shitload of students are impoverished, without any consideration for the definition of poverty used. Shit... anyone running any sort of debt to go to school is probably considered 'in-poverty.' I hope this article never sees the light of day, as Imprint is just 100% trash talk anyways. The tabloids are more honest and entertaining than Imprint. At least with the tabloids, the writers give a shit about what the public wants to read, and not about what they want to write. So yeah... I'll fucking email you Imprint and see how many of my lies you'll eat up, you sad dumb fucks.
"I work three full-time jobs to pay for university. Before, I barely scraped by by sticking to a strict ramen diet and taking permanent residence in the comfy lounge to save on rent and food. But now with the 9% tuition increase I don't know what I'm going to do... I might have to sell my BMW." - Poor Humans of UW
LOL agreed completely with #3. Imprint is pretty shitty, there's just no way to get around that. The articles that they write are extremely biased and the techniques used are completely unwarranted. Obviously, a study of this nature would have biased introduced! As #5 said, do it on those crazy international students (Asians, specifically, especially if they're women) who don't even know how to drive their vehicles according to Ontario's laws.
@6a Fuck you imprint faggot cuck. Go back to your fucking hole in the SLC and don't come out, you shit eating cunt bitch thot. Stay in there and starve to death. Go suck all your co-editors cocks, you useless waste of money, self righteous cunt. Now tell everyone its not a study again, you piece of shit.
Does eating ramen every day because I own a race car count?

ReplyDeleteWhere did OP say anything about doing a study? This isn't a research project, its an exposé. They want to interview students who live in poverty, and shed some light on what everyday reality looks like for those people. Newspapers do this all the time.
DeleteBuuuut you clearly just want an excuse to hate on Imprint, so whatever makes you happy I guess!

It would be nice to have an article on the crazy wealthy students that get tens of thousands of dollars a month from their families...
