OMG:

People need to stop saying that WPIRG is tied with terrorist organizations, there's way too little evidence out to be able to say that.

  1. I heard the evidence is pretty damning though...

    1. Still, until it's all released people shouldn't make claims.

  2. I heard there's an ongoing investigation. Anyone know how that's going or what stage it's at?

this anti-WPIRG thing is a bullshit cause made up by the type of people who support Donald Trump. As that FEDS girl put it, A PRIVILEGED VOCAL MINORITY. They don't like being called that (the truth hurts), so now they act like babies and they go around spreading rumors

    4. 2b, what are you even going on about? you call people supporters of Trump, then follow by calling them a vocal minority. Literally, Trump is the one who hates on visible minority groups, kind of like you did just now...

    5. 2b. What the fuck are you on? I'm a Trump supporter and voted yes on the referendum, because fuck Israel.

    6. Aren't vocal minorities NOT privileged by default?

    7. 2f, don't you know the rules? Vocal minorities can be privileged if I saw so

  3. This is the problem with you UW students. You always exaggerate any evidence that's found of anything. So what that some kind of shady ties were found, doesn't thank mean anything, all organizations make deals with other organizations and there's nothing you can do about it. So deal with it. Thank god I'm done at this craphole uni.

    1. ^If you can't see the irony in this turn of events then I don't think the university is your problem.

    4. @3b: When the people calling to sever ties between our university and an Israeli organization (a university in this case) may have links to a much worse organization, and then 3 says "all organizations make deals with other organizations and there's nothing you can do about it", that's ironic as all hell. Also hypocritical.

  5. This is libel. You should all be ashamed of yourselves for preying on an organization that helps the most vulnerable and underprivileged members of society.
You don't want to contribute to WPIRG? Fine, go get your refund and shut up. But that isn't enough for you. Instead you are trying to destroy the whole thing by manipulating the students' opinion and spreading rumors. What good does it do to you?
You aren't just selfish, you're evil.

    1. Well excuse me for not supporting and organization that believes it's okay to advocate for the rights of one minority by funding organizations that blow up other minorities. I don't like terrorism.

    2. ^To be fair, Israel is less "getting blown up" than it is "efficiently dealing with the threat, while Canadians who have never spent a single night in a bomb shelter or lost anyone to terrorism shriek themselves raw about how oppressive their self-defense measures are". I'm not saying everything they do is right or proper, but god damn do some people not have any understanding of what that part of the world is like.

    3. Why do you feel so entitled to student funding for your dumbfuck ideological hobbies?

    1. WPIRG is rotten to the core.
Better that we get rid of them and do the actually important things like petitioning against tuition increases through feds.

    2. 8a, FEDs has steadily abdicated its power over the years. It doesn't represent us in a meaningful way anymore. Just another self-serving marketing machine.
