OMG:
Tim Horton's SLC is forever crowded ever after it is closed. There should be some appreciation to the workers in there who works every day during exam season between their own exams. And please stop sneaking into the store after the door is closed. This is absolutely rude and disrespectful for people who has urge to go home but not able to because a couple of you keeps coming in. No offence, people, please pay respect.
They're actually supposed to be open 24/7 but they joined with food services to pull some bullshit with the contract they had with FEDs about 5-6 years ago and stole around $200,000 from students. So fuck Tim Horton's.
ReplyDeleteAnd now Feds has management control of the SLC, so they make rent money off of Tim Hortons. And Int'l News is open 24/7.
DeleteAppreciation? They do it for the money, not out of the goodness of their hearts.
ReplyDeleteYes but they don't get extra money for dealing with crappy people in a crappy place at this time of year. If you've ever worked retail of any kind during the holidays, it's hard not to be appreciative of workers who *don't* go 'round the bend - or at least become surly and "pseudo-friendly" (i.e. I'm being as nice as I have to in order to not get fired), and instead stay genuinely kind and smiling, at this time of year.
DeleteHaving worked holiday retail and restaurants for years, I can testify to the fact that there's nothing worse than a person who forces the store door open as you're closing it and then stays a half hour after closing, or walk-ins two minutes before the restaurant closes and the grills are already down. Business is business so obviously we accommodate it, but it would be nice if people weren't so explicitly rude after we make those allowances for them.
