Lord of the Skies! All seeing and all knowing one! The one with infinite tendrils and everlasting meatballs! Almighty Spaghetting Monster (Sauce be upon him) touch OP with your noodley appendage and let him know the error of his ways!! Repent for feasting time is near! When the dinner bells rings the feast shall be upon us!!!!
Parents will always pass their beliefs on to their kids - that's only natural. Priests are just people who've devoted their life to their beliefs. And churches are the natural result of people wanting to come together to celebrate their beliefs. Suppressing these things in public just means they happen in secret - and usually become more fanatical, not less.
Well, China was pretty successful at eradicating religion, which is good. Thankfully I was never raised in a religious household, but my Chinese parents are still racist, sexist bigots nonetheless. Bigots will be bigots regardless of religion, but I do agree that religion makes it a lot worse and on a bigger scale.
You do realize that if megalomaniacs leaders didn't have religion to fall back on as an excuse, they'd come up with something else, right?
Actual solving of the world's problems consist of everyone minding their own business when it comes to personal beliefs, and to stop taking the environment (especially food & water) for granted.

To lurkers, your reaction to the ridiculousness of this accurately reflects my reaction to your one true religion.
DeleteBasically yes! This program has been implemented with success in Russia and China. No snackbars there.
ReplyDeletego home mao, you're drunk
ReplyDeleteAh, yes. Nothing like persecuting religion to make it go away... *breaks down laughing*.
ReplyDeleteWell you can be religious if you want. Only, there are no more churches or priests and you don't get to brainwash your kids.

ReplyDeletebut did they bomb anyone
DeleteNo, but they do treat their own people like shit. Perhaps that's not as bad as invading another country, but it isn't a good thing either.
