  2. TEDx is incredibly biased towards the SJW/feminist agenda and I don't care if their theory is perfect, we have to acknowledge that they come with a lot of negative baggage. Don't attend them.

    1. Years on this site and I'm still waiting for someone to make even a slightly coherent argument for the existence of this so-called "agenda."

There are some crappy people who are feminists.

There are some crappy people who aren't feminists.

There are some crappy people who are [insert literally any viewpoint here.]

But having that viewpoint doesn't make you a crappy person, nor does it make your point of view "wrong."

As for the existence of an agenda, from what I've seen feminism is far too broad an ideology for it to be coordinated enough to have a clear agenda. Organizations have agendas - ideologies don't.

AFAIK the end goal of feminism is simply "women should be respected and valued fully as members of the human race, and have access to all the same opportunities for success and growth (and potential for failure) that men do (and have had for generations)." Your mileage may vary, but I'm one white male who doesn't see how a desire for greater agency is categorically a bad thing. Hell, struggling to improve your lot in life is what it is to be human!

    2. TEDx is straight up trash the majority of the time.

There is basically no vetting process.

That is why you get tumblrina and SJWs all over it, they get lots of attention and don't have to prove what they are saying.

@2a Lol, western feminists are a joke, they have already won the battle (for equal rights under the law which was their goal) so now they are finding any way they can to justify their existence. That is their agenda. Blame everything on men so that they can take their sympathy money all the way to the bank. The "true believers" are simply "useful idiots" for those who get what modern feminism is.

    3. @2a "Crappy person" is exactly the type of SJW-speak that I hate. "Wonderful person" = someone who spouts SJW bullshit.
"Crappy person" = someone who denies SJW dogma.
I'm glad that you're using the term in a reasonable way. But please use different verbiage in the future. I don't want "this is problematic" and "this is sooo important" to become the common way of speaking.

    3. 3a, if i wanted to see hot naked girls I'd pay to go to a strip club. I'm not gonna pay $25 or whatever to see some average at best college girls trying to "raise money for charity"

  5. I used to like TED. But I've come to realize that nearly all of their videos have very little educational value (and I'm not talking about the completely trash ones at TEDx). They use this style of presentation that makes you feel enlightened and smart while requiring very little mental effort of you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8S0FDjFBj8o
