OMG: Tip: Waterloo has poor lighting, so it's pretty hard to see bikers at night if your wearing dark clothing with no lights or reflectors. Please don't do this, and if you do anyways, assume cars can't see you.
it's astounding how many cyclists i see at night with no lights, no reflectors, no helmet and black clothing. especially on the stretch of university ave where there aren't any streetlights
Actually, they recently increased fines for biking without lights, its $110 now in Ontario. Also, there is a fine for anyone who drives closer than a meter on the road to a cyclist. So... complain that the police aren't taking unsafe people off the road.
