  1. Errrrr as a native Arabic speaker, that's bullshit. "Khosoosiyya" is the Arabic word for privacy and it doesn't have negative connotations at all

    1. I came here to say the exact same thing. Same word came to mind. And I don't think it's slang or too-recently made-up.
      Arab culture _is_ collectivist, however.

    2. Russian culture has strong academic tendencies and forces in its development wanted it to be international and a medium for intellectual writing. Like, this was a consciously chosen direction, much like the development of French had taken. Saying that there is no way to express a concept in it as a political statement on the culture is very incorrect. Russia has amassed great social problems recently, but this just attempts to discredit the credibility of an impressive history.

  7. Word for "privacy" in Chinese is "隐私“.. Is this just trying to say these countries have no privacy? who is the instuctor?
