OMG: KW4RENT is crap - my apartment wasn't even cleaned before I moved in. Would never rent again. I should just drive from Toronto everyday and live at home.
DOMUS is way worse: forcing guilible students into 3 years contracts, illegally withholding key deposits, charging hundreds of dollars for swiping floors. Someone should find a way to make those assholes (Domus, KW and Atlas) lose a lot of money
When I visited a friend at her KW4RENT apartment along Lester St, all the walls were so poorly repaired and painted that I couldn't believe it was profesionally managed. I don't know if their other buildings are like this but it just screamed "we don't care" and I knew right away not to ever rent with them.
It should be noted that ACCOMOD8U is actually KW4RENT rebranded. Total clusterfuck right now of an unfinished building. Dust, dirt, construction, holes. Be warned!
KW4RENT is disgusting lmao. Thank god my roommate arrived before I did and cleaned the floors because apparently walking around barefoot made his feet pitch black afterwards. Pretty sure the previous tenants literally whipped out a pair of scissors before they left and cut out pieces of the blinds before they left too and management never bothered to replace them lol...
There's definitely a lot of students who trash the residence they live in, and I have seen a lot of disgusting units, but I have to say, the developers in Waterloo cheap out on their materials so much that walls are paper thin and stuff falls apart easily as well. They just market their "marble countertops" extra hard to hide their crappy quality materials in everything else. Rental companies take advantage of students all the time, and I’m pretty worried about the next generation of incoming students who do not know about the 1 Columbia incident or the current kw4rent incomplete buildings. I heard that people had to drop out thanks to 1 Columbia.
Isn't everyone innocent until proven guilty? Plus rental companies are probably very quick to deduct money from your deposit for such transgressions yet as a tenant you have little recourse.

ReplyDeleteSTOP RENTING THEIR SHIT! Easy solution. Unfortunately there are always new students making dumb decisions.

ReplyDeleteMost students are pigs who don't give a shit about the properties they rent and trash them. Why should the rental companies show you any respect?
