OMG: UW is a depressing place. I only spent a year and a half here (did my first degree elsewhere and went on a number of exchanges) but even that was too long. I don't know how people can stomach 4 years in this place. Everyone's so cold and disconnected compared to the other schools I attended. At least I had family nearby, I can't imagine what its like to be an international or out of province student stuck here for so long.

  1. So you're done your degree, gone on 'a number of exchanges', and been to other schools. What the hell are you doing here? Go be salty elsewhere.

  2. If you're an international you hang out with your own (ie: chinese mommies)

  3. Being an international student. You get used to it. Don't think there's any way around it. I found that building and fortifying a diverse network is key.

  6. I've been here for 5 years and I hate it too. It's a great school for academics and a horrible school for anything else. There is no sense of happiness or connectivity on campus. Everyone is a total loser and judgemental. No one parties like other schools and our school spirit is laughable.

Everyone separates into their racial groups and doesn't accept minorities. I am a white female and have never felt like more of an outcast in my life until I came to Waterloo.
