OMG: I've come to the sad realization that I can't write an exam without having a panic attack unless I load up on benzos beforehand. Uwaterloo has turned me into a drug addict.

  1. Jesus. Have you considered writing with Accessibility Services?

  2. Well you got the drug addict part right... you're even refusing to take blame yourself and instead putting it on 'someone else' (the university)

  3. benzos lol. have you tried to 420 blaze it instead?

  4. You're going to, or already have, entered a vicious cyclic drug dependency. The more times you take benzos before an exam to reduce anxiety, the more anxious you will be without them, so the more you'll feel like you'll want them. It goes on and on. I've been there with other substances. Be very careful with benzos, I've seen friends completely ruin years of their lives on them.

My advice is ditch the benzos at least until you can handle yourself without external influences. You can always go back to them, just give yourself an honest effort of a month or two to get back on track. You can do this. One day at a time. Perhaps see a counselor. I've always had good experiences with them. They've never forced me to do anything, its always positive encouragement and advice. And sometimes it is nice to simply speak with someone who truly cares.

Honestly, if all else fails, maybe try to replace benzos with herb. Far less harmful and not physically addictive.
