Went to UOG to study
with my girlfriend... after two hours of being in the library I finally
saw a couple of Asians. It was so comforting! I nearly forgot I was at
a University
Obviously for you to moderate at the precisely the right amount (within a non-existent margin of error), with the precise amount of moderating desired being completely undisclosed, and varying from person to person.
IS THAT SO FUCKING DIFFICULT, YOU GODDAMN FASCISTS?
How is this racist? Everyone at Waterloo sees very many Asians everyday... it's a fact. At other universities, there are far fewer Asians and that could seem peculiar at first.
It's not racist but it's not exactly politically correct either. I can see why some people might be offended by being labeled by their ethnicity. "Ah look, we've spotted some Asians in their natural habitat: the library. Now this feels like a university!" Instead of just, oh there's some people studying over there. I'd probably be mildly annoyed by that if I was Asian. Either way, I think less moderation is better in general. If it's a shitpost, that's what the rating system is for.
The post only said he was comforted, which isn't racist. Hell, I've taken grad school courses where I sat through entire breaks without hearing ONE conversation in English around me. Did I hate it? A little. Would I have been more comfortable in a classroom full of people who spoke English by choice? Probably.
People honestly don't know how to read.. this isn't racist. The poster must have thought that there is a connection between Asians and a higher education. Which is a trend that he would observe at institutions such as UW. Guelph probably felt like a high school to him... or perhaps a farm convention or a prison - 3rd generation Chinese-Canadian
nobody cares you nazi piece of shit-scum
ReplyDeleteSeriously mods, why do you let these kind of shit posts through?
ReplyDeletePeople complain when we mod too much, people complain when we mod too little. What y'all want from us.

Delete2d and 2e, it's not that the OP said not seeing many Asians is racist, it‘s "it's so comforting" that is racist.
DeleteSorry mods, if you can't see why this post shouldn't have gone through, maybe you shouldn't be the mods? Just sayin'
DeleteKeep up the good work mods. Free speech. Fuck the liberal nazis.
DeleteI am Asian. I am open to all kinds of opinions, even the hostile ones.
