  1. I am in engineering 4B.

I'd just like to point out the differences between the Math C&D and the Engineering C&D

Yes, the engineering one is generally slightly cheaper; however, the math one is light years away from in terms of quality and specially in terms of costumer service.

When I go to the engineering one, the cashiers are usually ready to commit suicide and generally treat costumers as if they're doing charity work. "Yeah" does not mean "Thank you".

When I go to the Math C&D (they also take debit and credit and watcard(?)), the food is def. of higher quality and the cashiers are always really nice to anyone that they help.
Always smiling and saying "thank you" and the just make you feel welcome to the place and treat you like a costumer.

Math CnD also has tables where you can sit and eat with more than one person or just alone. In the summer days, you can even eat out on the balcony.
Everything in the Math one is optimize towards the experience (in comparaison to the engineering one) of the costumer being a positive one.

In the engineering one, you have the options of sitting in 3 tables (usually occupied) or going into POETS (usually taken over by a bunch of people discussing the most stupid shit in the world).

Overall, Math C&D has always proved superior in my eyes both due to quality and costumer service.

I wish the engineering C&D was ran by the people that run the math one :(

    1. MathSoc has in recent years devoted a huge amount of time and effort in their C&D (and continues to do so). EngSoc isn't as focused on their C&D imo (not necessarily bad, if Eng students would rather they focus on other things). This is shown in the difference between the two C&D's.

Also, no sadly, Math C&D does not take watcard.

    2. I agree. Engineering C&D sucks. Esp now after the hike in coffee prices. The price of coffee is now on par with Math C&D. Their shit is not even cheap, yet they treat their customers like crap. Their sandwiches are also often several days old

    3. Obligatory shout out to Rose, the Math C&D manager, who's really turned around the place in the last 5 years. We've gone from 100k in debt to 60k in the green. Incredible!

    4. I think the comment about the Engineering C&D cashiers varies from shift to shift. So far I've had pleasant experiences with the cashiers there.

    5. Can I point out that I've:
-Never received "bad" service at the eng C&D (that I'd notice)
-Never tried anything more disgusting than the math C&D patties
-Didn't much notice the price hike since I always bring my thermos (as any engineering student should)
-and most importantly, didn't do to a C&D expecting the restaurant experience which you seem to want 2. Hell, half your complaints have more to do with the building the C&D is in. Also, there is a whole patio outside CPH for the summer. Do you even go here?

  2. ^ I think they take credit card which is really good considering some of the restaurants in the plaza don't take credit card.

    2. It's not true, previously MathSoc had bailed the CnD out, but the CnD has payed back it's debt.
