OMG: Does anyone really believe there girls on this campus that are sugarbabies? I mean, would any of them even score an investor?

  1. I've done it and I've had three clients. I look like any ordinary person when I come to campus, who is just interested in learning and hanging out with friends. I wear warm and comfortable clothes that don't necessarily make me appear super attractive. So you wouldn't take me to be a sugarbaby on campus or maybe you would. To each their own.

However, this attitude of judging an entire group of people on campus based on your singular views is dumb.

    1. Just remember, its still prostitution.

    2. I'm the OP, and I agree. If it's dinner, well that's okay, I guess. But if it's sex, face it, you are a prostitute...no two ways about it. I mean saying the client is 'nice' or 'smart' or 'the money is for tuition' doesn't mean it's not prostitution.

    3. Stop trying to shame people. You come off as very judgmental. Peoples bodies are their own and what they choose to do is their choice.

    4. Oh please, enough with this 'shaming' bullshit. That seems to be the apologists phrase du jour. And, if you were a 50 year old guy, and you had a daughter who had a 20 year old daugher selling sex to pay for school, would you be happy? And what would you think of the 50 year old guy doing the paying? Would you shrug your shoulders and say 'Well, I don't want to shame anyone.' What a bunch of crap. And if you are a girl, would you be happy if someone twice your age offered you a thousand dollars or whatever to sleep with them? If they said, well, you can put it toward tuition make you feel better about it?

    5. @1d, there's a difference between being judgmental and having your own opinion.

I wouldn't want to be a sugarbaby. That being said, I'm not going to humiliate women who are. Perhaps sexual integrity is more important to you than debt, but not everybody sees it that way. Nobody's forcing these girls to be a sugarbaby. If you truly cared about them, perhaps it would be better to work towards eliminating situations that make them turn to sugaring (i.e., fight the government and the administration for high student debt). Stop blaming the sugars because they don't want their careers to be crippled by massive student loans.

    6. 'that make them turn to sugaring' Is 'sugaring' the euphemism for prostitution?

    8. I agree with 1e. If you're a 50 year old guy with a daughter, you probably wouldn't be happy, but your daughter's body is not yours. Let people do what they want with their own body.

    9. I always find using the "yeah but if it was your daughter..." argument to be kind of creepy because it reinforces the idea that male family members OWN the females in their family.
As far as I understand, being a sugarbaby doesn't necessarily mean sex, although I'm not sure why so many people get up in arms about the possibility, y'all need to chill about sex.

That's idiotic. Men are protective of their daughters and, as a guy, I relate more to how a guy would feel under those circumstances.

'As far as I understand, being a sugarbaby doesn't necessarily mean sex, although I'm not sure why so many people get up in arms about the possibility, y'all need to chill about sex. '

I'm hardly up in arms about sex, I'm simply pointing out that it seems awfully pathetic that 20 year old women who are supposed to be the strong, independent young professionals of the future will, when push comes to shove, sell sex.

  6. About two years ago I saw a sugar daddy and his sugar baby having dinner at mcginnis. It was a weird sight to see, almost everyone in the restaurant was staring at them. The age difference was probably a solid 30+ years. She was dressed like she was a stute, very inappropriately. She had a uw lanyard and talked about school. It was kind of sad to see

    1. "That's her dad" would have probably been my first thought...

    2. Well when they were holding hands and kissing that thought went out the window. Also the way she was dressed I would pray he wasn't her pops

    3. I saw that too once when I was Christmas shopping with my sister. The guy was 60ish, grey haired, a bit heavy but well dressed. The girl was 20ish, curvaceous, but really cheap looking (hideous sunglasses inside the store, tacky clothes) and together they were picking out a pair of sky high, stiletto healed but super tacky boots
