OMG: Can we get a real answer from Feds candidates on what they want to do to
improve part time student experiences? We pay feds fees every term but
can't use many of the services---no discounts on the inter-city bus
passes (GRT, Go, etc.), and no bus pass whatsoever. The monthly pass we
buy is almost $80/month, or $320 a term. I'm willing to pay to opt in to
the bus pass for GRT, but no one seems to have a real answer on what
they're going to do about it, or about the fact that feds-fee paying
part time students can't access a lot of services that Feds negotiates
on our behalf. Thank you
Your tax receipts say otherwise. Here is the most recent receipt, which covers 4 months for a total cost of $72.23

Your welcome, with love from your VP Internal Candidate who is not Maaz.
Oh, my bad, I thought that was for full time students. I hear a few candidates want to address this. Notably not Maaz.
DeleteHey Jessica, its about time you stop hating on Maaz. Just because no one takes you seriously, doesn't mean you go on bashing another candidate.
Deletelol at 1. Dealing with GRT isn't even the job of the VP Internal. Nice try Jessica
Deleteyou're**
DeletePlease read the actual post before commenting. I said pretty clearly that I was a part-time student, and as a PT-student we are not eligible. We pay more PER MONTH than full time students do per SEMESTER. I have yet to hear a candidate make this (or other services for feds-fee paying part time students) a point in their platform

ReplyDeletefuck that guy
DeleteLeave Brittany alone!
ReplyDeleteWatcard is the bus pass. Part-time students, don't you get a watcard that says 'Undergraduate student' on it?
ReplyDelete^ours is distinct from full time students. If it's an older card it's a different color and if it's one of the newer cards it says "part time" on it explicitly---the drivers check
ReplyDeletecan't you register as full time, get your watcard, then drop classes before the deadline?
ReplyDeleteif you're getting a new/updated watcard, the watcard office makes you wait until after the drop deadline. i imagine a lot of part time students have tried this
