OMG: Yesterday I watched as a girl called someone out for wearing a Canada Goose Jacket (for animal cruelty). She better get busy because half of the students on campus wear those jackets.

  1. I would have called her out for not minding her own damn business. Seriously, if you have an issue to pick with Canada Goose Jackets, then take it to the company, not the consumer.

    1. If someone buys something that is not ethical, they are also to blame.

    2. Perhaps 1a, but I, like most consumers don't take ethics into consideration when I shop. I want comfort, I want convenience, and when it comes to my winter jackets I want warmth. Canada Goose gives me all 3 of these.

If retailers stop stocking Canada Goose Jackets, then I will stop buying them, plain and simple. Until then, I buy what I find in stores.

    3. 1b is either the most stupid piece of shit or a massive asshole. Reality check for ya, bud. Retailers will sell whatever makes them the most profit if consumers allow it. They will make coats made from puppy fur sewn on by orphans held at gunpoint if consumers will still buy it and it's profitable. It's the consumers job to say, 'wow, that is really fucked up that you're making jackets from puppy fur sewn on by orphans while you hold them at gunpoint, Company X. I'm not gonna support that practice by purchasing your products." But alas, we have yet another responsibility shirking dickwad.

    4. 1b And why don't you take ethics into concern? You sound like a lazy piece of shit who has no right to be alive. If you want to exist on this planet with the rest of us, then you'd better do your part to take care of it, otherwise you're of no use and literally a waste of resources.

  3. For a campus that deals with the shit spraying and hissing of Canada Geese for a good portion of the year, you may be hard pressed to find a good number of people who give a shit.

    1. The fur is coyote fur, not goose fur. Have you ever seen a goose with fur, you window licking fucktard?

    2. Who said it was goose fur? It is made from goose down though.

    3. Because goose down is warm as fuck, buy any jacket with it and you will notice the difference

  5. @4: People think it looks nice so they buy it. It's not a difficult concept to understand.

@4a: They're not $700, unless you're referring to the 3/4 length parkas. The bomber style is still expensive, but not as high as you're suggesting.

@4b: Why can't they have rich mommies? That's sexist man. Also, they're the monetary symbol they used to be, so please transition yourself out of 2011.

  6. First of all, I bought a North Face ski jacket that looks better, and is much warmer, for half the price.

Second, I am all for hunting, eating meat, animal testing, and all those fun things, as long as its sustainable. In some cases the ecosystem is so fucked up by us already that if we don't hunt it will just get worse.

  8. I buy a new Canada Goose jacket each year because it's the one way I have of saying a big annual 'fuck you' to the damn geese on this campus.

    1. I think people are more concerned about the coyotes rather than the geese that go into the jackets.

  9. Just tell them if you pay $500+ for a jacket it better have taken a life or two to make. That's why dropping $200 on a pair of Js is justified, they fresh af and you're paying for the pain and suffering of child sweatshop workers in every stitch!
