OMG: A first year Math student was arrested after they found a PhD student from York taking her exam for her, and holding a forged watcard with her picture on it.

    1. The guy had a watcard made with his face on it, but with her name. Given that she had a really Asian name, the proctors wouldn't have suspected anything from the watcard itself. The scanners would've caught the mismatch though.

    1. She wasn't arrested for cheating. She was arrested for falsifying documents and trying to impersonate someone else.

  4. Yup. Its called forgery, which can carry a punishment of ten years imprisonment. Seriously, sometimes I wonder if people have ever heard of the criminal code of Canada. It's not just for pedophilies and murderers.

    1. There's no way a minor case like this would even be treated as indictable. That's reserved for serious acts of forgery done for embezzlement and major fraud.

      Summary convictions don't even come with a prison sentence.
