OMG: So i'm 4 months after graduation and get this on my getmail:
"Which bloody shanty decided I belong here. Who enrolled me here? REBELLION!!! I DEMAND JUSTICE! FREEDOM FROM THE CAGES OF EARTH499! I belong elsewhere, why are we here my brothers and sisters. Has QUEST BETRAYED US!? I think not. This is the work of the "Select All". Select All the Foul Beast must be destroyed. FOR VICTORY AND OUR HONOR, BY THE GODS WE SHALL PREVAIL!
Okay seriously people, why are we here? I don't belong here. Fix it. Now."
what's going on..
Lol, I got that email too and was equally confused
ReplyDeleteI'm finishing 2A (co-op next term) and also got this email... What even is it?!
ReplyDeleteI know exactly who sent this LOLOL
ReplyDeleteYeah a quick search here: http://watiam.uwaterloo.ca/search/app/authen/
Deleteby the username of the sender gives us all details about the person.
I am in 3a and got that email too
ReplyDelete??????
4a and I also got it. Very confused
ReplyDeleteWhen I logged into learn I saw that I was for some reason put into some Earth Sciences class. Since my quest enrollments are all correct, I assume it's some kind of weird glitch or placeholder course. Someone in that course used the learn mailing list to send everyone else enrolled in that course this email. At least that's what I gleaned from a quick look into this.
ReplyDeleteNo that can't be it, I wasn't enrolled in that Earth Sciences class in learn or on quest
DeleteThat's exactly what happened. They fixed the problem so quickly that most people didn't notice the course, which is where the confusion comes in. It was removed ~five minutes after people noticed it.
DeleteHighlight of my day during gloomy exam times though. Koodos to the anti-shanty.
ReplyDeletei got it too, not enrolledi n earth499, don't know what this retard is talking about
ReplyDeleteThere was a glitch and all SCI students current or graduated within the past year were enrolled in that course by Learn. It was noticed and fixed right away so hardly anybody would have noticed if it weren't for the person who sent out a mass email.
ReplyDeleteI read an article speculating problems like this one.
