OMG: If you're standing in the middle of a walkway chatting with others, don't expect me to ask "excuse me" because you and your group are being inconsiderate. I will force my way through you and if you happen to drop anything, that's your own damn fault.
@ 1.a) If they don't understand it now, bumping into them isn't going to change what they do. How about telling them it's bad manners? Otherwise they're just going to think you're a pushy asshole.
It's better when you're tall and you actually shove your way through. When you're a small girl, rude and inconsiderate people just ignore you when you say Excuse me :/ Although I haven't had much of this issue since coming to Waterloo though.
I'm a big guy, and people ignore me when I say "excuse me", but I am able to also ignore the fact that they are blocking my path. So once it is said and I count to three, I walk through.
Sometimes I get caught up in the moment while talking to people and don't check around me. Sometimes I'm just not aware someone is nearby or just came from around the corner. I get agitated too when people block the way but often they're very polite and move out of the way immediately while apologizing if you just ask them kindly to do so. There's no need to be an ass about it.
Same goes for bus doors. When you fucking stop to fucking figure out where the fuck to go, right in fucking front of the fucking door, you are not only fucking blocking people from fucking exiting, but making every single fucking person on the fucking bus delayed for their fucking stop. FUCK
(I'm sorry, I got a bit carried away, but I needed it)
Seriously? Whats wrong with an "excuse me"? People are annoying, especially unaware-of-their-surroundings undergrads on campus, but you can't just shove them to the side.
So you think it's alright to purposefully force your way into people because they've inconvenienced you? Stop being an elitist and get over yourself.
ReplyDeleteYes. Otherwise people will never understand just how rude and inconsiderate it is to stand in the middle of walkways/staircases to chat.

ReplyDeleteYou are politer than me. I look for the easiest way though, puff up my shoulders, don't change speed, and just go.
ReplyDeletePeople who walk through a busy doorway and stop IMMEDIATELY on the other fucking side are worse and deserve kicks to their back.

Agreed. Like hey fuckface, take a step to the side and figure your shit out you inconsiderate twat.
DeleteExcuse me isn't hard to say, especially when you say it like a snarky asshole.
