OMG: It may seem obvious, but I think young people (especially boys) need to be taught how to respect their sexual partner. When I have kids I'll be sure to talk to them about what is acceptable, and whats going too far.

I think this should be part of our sexual education when we're growing up.

  1. I think learning how not to be a sexist should be your first lesson.

    1. I think it is the responsibility of both partners in a relationship to come up with boundaries on sexpectations in their relationship before having sex. I also think it is both partners' responsibility to respect those guidelines. Did you sit down and talk with this person before having sex? I know some things seem implied but there are a lot of F'd up ideas presented to guys and girls about sex especially from TV, games, media and sadly sometimes friends. Also some people are just pricks. Sorry you were disrespected/hurt OP, but please tone down your sexism because not all men, guys or even boys are pricks.

  2. How about talking with your partner about your personal boundaries?

You are a grown person, exercise your agency.

    1. How about NOT categorizing victims as being weak-minded, spineless, indecisive individuals.

I DID talk with my partner multiple times about my personal boundaries and yet he violated those explicit boundaries.

  4. It's about communication. People are into weird things, and that's okay. What's 'acceptable' is what both partners are consenting to. What's 'not acceptable' is trying to enact things without communication or shaming people for communicating.

    1. Though, you should at least *try* to give the other person an orgasm, or you're a big jerk.

    2. Man, orgasms are such a big turn-off for me. I'm never horny anymore afterwards....

  5. It's not sexist if it's about boys. You have to take into account their privilege.

    1. Nonsense. Gender equality doesn't mean "knock one gender down a peg," it means "treat everyone like decent human beings, regardless of gender."

    2. Young boys are not educated about rape, sexual assault and boundaries that way that young girls are. Seeing as most sexual assault occurs at the hand of men, I think it's a valid point. It's about power. Men commit sexual assault on women and men when there's an unever power balance.

    3. What about all the unreported sexual assaults against men?

    5. @5: The fact that you think that anything about guys isn't sexist is in fact sexist. Shit goes both ways, you can't just say whatever you want about one gender and then freak out whenever something is said about the other.

    6. What privilege?! Let's talk about your privilege to get hired in priority because of positive discrimination. Let's talk about your privilege to have paid maternity leaves. Let's talk about your privilege to keep the baby and have the guy pay child support for the rest of his life. Let's talk about your privilege to get lesser sentences for the same crime. Let's talk about your privilege to get sex whenever you want. You really think men are "privileged" nowadays?

    7. I hate 5's viewpoint. But I hate 5f's viewpoint just as much. Both are rather misinformed, or have warped views of the world, or both.

Whatever happened to "don't be a dick?" I just thought there was a general standard for how to treat ANY human being... aren't men and women all people?!?!

Considering some of the responses I think there is a lot of work to do and progress to be made.

  7. You know, none of this was happening before feminism. When women were respectful and knew their place in society, men treated them like princesses, protected them and provided for them. Because of feminism we now view women as entitled and arrogant bitches and it's hard to have respect for someone who doesn't respect us back.

    1. +1 you want gender equality? Don't expect me to treat you like a lady! Funny how women want all the advantages of being male but none of the inconvenience.

  8. Why should you respect anyone for no reason? If they are a respectable person and earn your respect through their actions then sure respect them. But no one is entitled to respect just because. Abuse is another thing, yes people should be taught what the lines and boundaries are.

    1. There is a minimum level of fundamental respect that all human beings deserve to be treated with, period. They can LOSE the right to that respect from you through their words, actions, etc., but that baseline should be assumed upon first meeting. Otherwise you're just an asshole.

  9. Honestly, I think everyone needs a damn better sexual education. A few of my gf's in the past had no idea about sexual health and I found it hard to talk to them about my sexual interests. One of my exes didn't know what plan B was, majority of them had shit knowledge about std's and even pregnancy.

When it came to sexual interests, I felt like I was like some corrupt individual ruining girl's innocence.

    1. A few of my past gfs had no idea how to give good head. Can we at least start by teaching them that?! I mean for god's sake, it's a basic duty of their role....

    2. It's okay 9a, you can train her to do it right. Let me tell you what I do. Every night, I give her 2 choices: either she can suck me off properly so that I cum, or she can take my cock shoved into her ass since that'll do it for me too. She gets 30 minutes to try it her way, and if that doesn't work, we do it my way whether she likes it or not.

...Took her about 5 days to learn. Never had better blowjobs in my life.
