OMG: Sometimes I feel so lonely and empty that I sit in the shower under the water and ugly-cry for a while.
I have no real problems in my life to complain about, which makes this even more confusing.
Its totally normal to need a good cry every now and then, just get to get things out.
But if you find you're upset on a routine basis it could be something more serious. If you feel like emptiness is impacting the quality of your life, go see health services! Could be anything from a hormone imbalance to depression to a number of other things. Could even be something that could be cleared up really quickly.
Definitely talk to counselling services... Or your doctor. Or even just call a help line. Here 24/7 is surprisingly decent. The resources are out there and there are lots of people who want to help!
That said, if it is a hormone imbalance or clinical depression (uni or bipolar) then there doesn't have to be a situational cause... Please don't feel bad or guilty about feeling bad!
Get a cat, seriously it helps so much, esp an older cat who wants love and affection as much as you.
ReplyDelete*cough* crazy cat lady *cough*
Deletebeats being normal
DeleteI do the same thing, only I tend to cry over how much the future is going to suck.
ReplyDeleteI love you, OP.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to being human.
ReplyDeleteThat's a waste of water. I suggest doing something active and competitive. A sport perhaps?
ReplyDeleteStay strong!
ReplyDeleteSometimes crying after "bottling stuff up" is a relief
ReplyDeleteI don't even cry. I just zone out
