OMG: Is it just me or is the Tim's at SCH being super lazy/cheap and not putting the cardboard sleeves on drinks anymore? like no it's okay I don't need a sleeve or even a double cup or anything i'm just gonna walk across campus with this scalding hot tea while I switch hands every three seconds to avoid burning off my fingerprints...
I don't think any Tim's in this school does that. I always have to ask for a sleeve after getting my drink
ReplyDeleteI feel like it is Tims policy everywhere to not offer a second cup or a sleeve unless you ask.
ReplyDelete+1, this happens everywhere as far as I know. Calgary, GTA and all over Waterloo I have seen it.
DeleteBuy a reusable mug..problem solved.
ReplyDeleteAs an employee of timmy's I think the problem with reusable mugs is the QUALITY of it. It gets cracked sometimes but u can still use it in the "long-run"
DeleteEven better, buy a reusable mug and come to the ENV Coffee Shop. We sell tea for 75c, and it's better quality than Tims.
ReplyDeleteIt's because the distribution Centre ran out so no one got sleeves in the last few shipments. Just ask for it double cupped when you order it
ReplyDeletejust ask them for a sleeve and they'll give you one
ReplyDeleteI work at Tim Hortons and the policy for sleeve/double cupping is that if you order a bag tea you automatically receive a sleeve or a double cup. Anything else you don't receive one unless you ask for it
ReplyDeleteI also worked at a Tim Hortons back home near Oshawa. Sleeve or double cup for any bagged tea. I don't know if that's what makes them lazy OP, but I find them sooooo slow this term, its almost amusing... almost.
ReplyDelete@op: take 4-5 napkins and wrap them around ur cup.not only it saves ur hand from both the heat and spill.
ReplyDeleteHave you noticed their ice capps or any drinks are usually filled to the minimal? ^^ So fucking cheap.
ReplyDelete7 Here, there is a specific line we're supposed to fill up to on the cold drink cup and we're supposed to leave a certain amount of room on hot drinks too. Especially with iced caps if you overfill the cup it makes a huge mess when you mix it so you really have to follow the fill guidelines...
DeleteAs others have said get a reusable mug. Tim's/fast food places are plenty wasteful as it is with paper and plastic waste...double cups or sleeves will only add to it. Or reuse your paper sleeve...put it in your bag or something. Our society is so self-absorbed. I'm not perfect either but I've made myself aware of sustainability issues and am consciously doing my best to reduce waste.

DeleteI can't believe someone is actually complaining about this ...
ReplyDeletestfu
DeleteIts not even about the sleeves its about how slow they are. The point of fast food is to get it out asap. It shouldnt take 30 min to grab a coffee. Ive learned not to bother if I need to be somewhere
