OMG: I don't understand the students who drive BMW's and Porsche Cayenne's.. how the crap do you have one of those? Richy Rich parents? Poker? What? I'd like to subscribe to your magazine.
^ I wouldn't read this as jealous, OP even said they'd like to "subscribe to your magazine", I think OP is just wondering how students can afford these types of cars.
Almost exclusively rich parents. Some of the ones I know have parents back in china that were in tight with the government and rode that into some serious income.
I have mine because my parents will let me take one of their cars for a week once in a while to go to costco and stock up on food. I figure that I might as well drive to campus for the week.
Rich parents decided to inflate their kids' egos a little early, gave them a flashy auto so they could drive around pretending they're still in high school.
Lol people in this thread sound so salty. Most of my friends own some sort of luxury car, I just feel like it's the norm. Some got it from parents and some are leasing it and paying the monthly fee themselves. And the novelty does wear off. Driving my Benz or Nissan feels the same to me. I don't feel any superior or inferior. Just having a functioning car is more than enough.
Someone is jealous. I'd been driving those too if I could. I ain't complaining. YOLO.
