OMG: Just bought a suit at one of the most expensive suit shops around, thinking it was normal price. Got home to find out how much less I could have paid. Anyone want to buy a soul?
You little bitch....suit you bought is an investment, not a fucking expense. Capitalize that bitch into your wardrobe. Learn to dress better so you can get better jobs and then you little ass would be thanking you bought the good/expensive one. -AFM 4A (Almost motherfucking cunt-throbbing done)
I would assume he meant that when he got home he found the same suit online/elsewhere for much less. Sure a suit could be an investment but id rather pay less for the same suit through another retailer.
check out Wc Brown and Sons in Elmira. 94 years of business and very affordable! Great selection and a lot of Canadian made suits as well as custom tailoring
Hopefully it's a nice suit, good colour, fits you properly. If that's the case then you'll get quite a few years of use out of it and you'll look good in it.
A lot of people (especially walking around for co-op interviews) wear shit suits, and it shows. You always get these engineering dorks who are all like "it doesn't matter what you wear", but they're wrong.
I would never date a guy who dropped 1700 on a suit in undergrad...maybe if he actually could afford to that would be a different story...but most students realistically shouldn't be able to pay for that shit
It's only stupid if you don't think about important things when you're dating someone. Personally, I'd like the guy I'm dating to care about deeper things than a 1700 dollar suit and looking hot for his interview. In all honesty you can spend less than that and look good for an interview. - another girl
How much???

lol if OP in eng, OP doesn't need good suit to get good sw job.
DeleteIt's true, some programs are about what you know, not how much money you spent on an outfit.
Deletewhat a clown
DeleteAfm students would know about overpaying for something mediocre.
DeleteLOL I wear flip flops to work and make more than an AFM student ever will. Some people really get fucked over in life.
Delete@2d: You win the truth award
DeleteYour suit is an extension of your body. Don't settle for less and be awesome. True story.
ReplyDeleteHey Barney! Cruising our campus for Asian chicks, I presume?
DeleteHe'll be an asian chick magnet!
Deleteget your self a wide array of dress shirts and ties now
ReplyDeletenot to mention a learning experience....shit won't matter 10 years down the line but now you'll know before investing in another suit
ReplyDeleteCouldn't you have just returned it?
ReplyDeletenah, its custom made
Delete6.a if you're buying a custom made suit... you can't complain about the damn cost. I have no sympathy for you.
Deletec you can get really decent bespoke suits from Vietnam and Thailand for like $100, in fact the whole trip there and back won't even come up to $1700
DeleteWhy is this so funny?
DeleteIt's an investment. There's so many men here walking around in cheap ugly suits that don't fit them
ReplyDeleteThat is why I love my BD suit so much.
DeleteIt has a perfect fit, and really makes me stand out from the rest of the crowd.
Suits are not about standing out, and also you probably don't.
DeleteA man in a well tailored suit will definitely stand out.
DeleteHello, Harvey Specter? (I'm sorry I had to)
I love that show!
Delete@ The rest of you, that was a joke. I did not want to make it too obvious, but apparently it did not land....
DeleteBut I like the cheap ugly suit

ReplyDeleteno, just I could have gotten one that fits great at a much lower price somewhere else
DeleteWhat, Channer's on King? Ripofffffff
ReplyDeletePaid $1700, went out looking to spend $700
ReplyDelete1700 is waaay more than necessary.
ReplyDeleteGotta ball
DeleteYo the legs don't fit
DeleteY'all better have gone to Paul Puncher for that kind of money, sheeeit.

ReplyDeleteDamn. You single?
ReplyDeleteYes, but I won't be able to take anyone out on expensive dates until I get a few more paychecks
DeleteHe's kinda cute too ;)
DeleteRent a car and head to MI for all your suiting needs
ReplyDeleteI will just take my own car, although I would probably spend a lot more on gas in my car than the rental fees+gas on the rental
DeleteSee, I'm economically minded and thought of that beforehand.
DeleteSuits!
ReplyDeleteOh snap
DeleteIf you can't return it then why worry? It's done.

I haven't actually seen the suit yet, still has to be made, but I picked a nice fabric, and trust the people fitting me that it will be great.
Delete#firstworldproblems. Spend 1700 on something more useful than clothes that have depreciating value
ReplyDeleteFine I'll invest

ReplyDeleteI can afford it, just would rather not take money out of investments if my paycheck doesn't come before my visa bill is due.
DeleteLol...what does dating a guy have to do with the price he paid for his suit? Girls think about stupid shit like this too much.
Delete- btw I am a girl
This is the dumbest shit I've ever heard
Delete- a girl
