OMG:
For all you beautiful guys and gals who keep posting missed connections. Watch this clip, it's only a minute: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fuOY4W9QFNI

It may very well be the worst movie ever BUT this is what happens if you don't take chances and speak your heart out. (The same thing almost happened with me and my boyfriend, but fortunately, I asked him out in the nick of time.)

Seriously, people. Life is too short to be scared and miserable. You are all worthy of that special someone. Don't wait for chances; take love into your own hands.

Now go ask 'em out!

    1. This video could easily be gender reversed since girls are just as terrified of being labeled clingers, stalkers and creeps. The thing is when we try not to were seen as pretentious 'pedadastle' standing bitches.

  2. Could you tell us what happened with you and your boyfriend, OP? Interested in hearing real stories about taking chances and near missed connections :)

    1. Sure.

I had a crush on my boyfriend for a *long* time but was always too nervous to ask him out because I thought he was way out of my league. We'd talk pretty often though, and I really felt like he had a lot of the same appreciation in interests, outlooks, and worldviews that I did. Eventually, after growing increasingly frustrated with a lot of the boys who came my way (who I couldn't *really* connect with) and finding that I'd just think of *this* guy (i.e., my boyfriend) more and more, I took a shot and asked him out. I kept it very casual, just asked if he wanted to go out sometime, didn't profess my undying adoration for him or anything :P Anyway, to my surprise, he said yes! :) I was so giddy that I couldn't sleep that night.

I say "almost in the nick of time" because he and a close friend of mine met on an online dating site about a day after I asked him out. (We didn't have our first date until a few days after.) I think I would've really resented her, and my life, had they gone out because I was too scared to make a move.

Fortunately, things worked out (for now). :) Still really enjoying spending time with him, and am grateful every day that I took that chance.

  3. Unfortunately there's this small problem, confidence isn't something everyone is born with. It isn't something that can be learnt either... :((
