OMG: I really hope they get rid of the jobmine glitch, it's so sad that 1 hour after an interview I though I did well at I find that I was not even ranked :(

  1. Isnt it good that you know, so now no more false hope? Now you strategize for other jobs...

  3. Finding out that you weren't ranked isn't a glitch; it's working as intended. Once the company has ranked, it drops out of your Active applications if you weren't ranked. The only glitch is that when you are ranked, you can see if you got the offer or not.

    1. I think both are but I could be wrong, does it say anywhere on jobmine/ceca that you can see if you aren't ranked?

    2. Supposedly it works for both... but me, whenever i interview i either get an offer or rejection... so never been ranked before

    3. ^It definitely works for both we wanna know whether the ranking is sanctioned or part of the glitch

  4. Both are rank and offer are glitches. The point of the system, at least for the first round is you do your best and show up at every interview since you cant depend on having a job or not. They dont even want you to see if you are ranked.

However the glitch is popular enough that they decide to leave it.

  5. Just talked to the people behind Waterloo Works, the new jobmine replacement. They said all glitch functionality will be removed. We won't know anything until rankings come out.

    2. Architecture is using it this semester and in the fall. Everyone else will be using it starting in the winter term

    3. if it's ready why not just use it for everyone now? Can't handle the traffic?

    4. They want to try it out with a small group of students first to iron out problems - a beta test if you will.

    5. ^Yeah I thought that at first but isn't that unfair to the Arch students (glitches), did they even ask them?
