OMG: Am I allowed to send the employer an email telling I don't want the job even if the matching process hasn't started yet?

  1. You know you should have mentioned lack of interest in the interview itself...
Thing with Jobmine (future reference) only apply to jobs you really see yourself working... no safety net, because its the safety net that usually fucks people over. Especially if you are not a shit student

  2. You can try but if CECA catches any whiff of this (ex:from the employer) you will be punished to the full extent of the law.

  3. Use the glitch before emailing, maybe you didn't get ranked anyway

  4. Tip for next time... If you do not like the job, sign off on it immediately after the interview

    1. You're often not allowed to do this unless you have a really good reason.

  5. Unless you can come up with a really good reason, there's little chance. The CECA tends to put the employers before students

  6. lol people worrying about CECA. Just email the your interviewer directly, he should have given you contact into. I did this before. I emailed the interview before the ranking process started and told him not to rank me because I thought his job's pay was too low.

  7. Just send a nice email to the interviewer. They're not going to tell CECA...they'd rather hire someone that's actually interested in the position.

  8. I know they could throw the book at you and bar you from Jobmine but I don't know how often that happens
