OMG: i'm just now noticing uwaterloo grads don't receive caps during convocation... only gowns & hoods? anybody know why? (what is there to throw in the air?!)

  2. Most universities do this. I graduated undergrad from U of T... only PhD grads had caps.

  4. A lot of schools that do get hats don't throw them. I don't even think it's a good idea. Those hats are super pointy.

  5. In most Canadian unis that's only for doctorate students. Tradition and stuff.

      You get a hat picture done when you get do your graduation pics. I don't know anyone who likes the picture with their hat.
