OMG:
Life is too short to do all the things that need doing. The world is too big to see all that needs to be seen. Sometimes I look at where I am now and see all those above me, better than me, farther than me and think "will I ever amount to anything?"

  2. Why don't you let those who come after you be the judge of that. For now, you need only worry about marching on.

  3. If you measure success with how much wealth/fame/status you've achieved in this life, then yes you're probably a failure (like me). But if none of these matter (and they DON'T), you're fine.

  5. Life is too short to see and do everything you need to or want to. But it's precisely because life is short that you should strive to achieving as much as you can.

All any other human being wants in life is to be happy. How they achieve that fleeting happiness likely isnt going to be the same as you. Don't let the image of success and happiness blind you from the things that truly make you happy.

  7. Who are you? You sound exactly like me...

I want to be the best that I can be and hope that someday I can DO something to contribute to human progress. Yet I worry that I'll never amount to anything. What keeps me optimistic is the belief that if I work hard now, >20 years down the road I may see the fruits of my labour?

I wish you all the best!

  8. This thought has also been bothering ever since I graduated, which is very recently. I can only hope to achieve something meaningful, and that desire is overwhelming me.

    2. No, unfortunately I am unable to find employment at this time, which makes things more difficult and unsettling
