This past term was a strong reminder of how unwilling students in my program (AFM), and the SAF in general, are in trying to work together on challenging topics. When I came to this school, it was with the hope of collaborating with other students who shared similar views and goals. Now it's beginning to feel like no one cares about working together; it's more about serving self-interest. When did we start turning into such pompous pr*cks??!

Even as a non-engineer student at UW, this is hilarious. I wish I had the brains to be an engineer student though! (anything math related is rocket science to me).

If I ever hear a university student say this guy/girl is out of my league I'll slap them. Seriously, this is not high school anymore! I'm tired of hearing my friends telling me this or that is out of my league. Grow up. You wanna know why that guy/girl wont go out with you? Its not because they're out of your league, its because you're an unconfident person! How do you expect someone to love you when you don't love yourself?!

WHY is this DE course taking so long to post the marks? Any one still waiting for their marks?

I've been living in a developing country until I got here at UW just 48 hours earlier. I feel so ashamed that I can't resist to drink the raw tap water here, because you know, in my country, this kind of behavior might get you killed so I've rarely done that before. I find myself astonishingly cheap.

After requiring to withdrawal after one year at Waterloo due to some really bad habits I had taken up I decided to take a year off to collect myself. Now as I see it I simply dont have it in me to go back. I commend all of you who stay vigilant in your studies.

Dear Food Services: believe it or not people still work on this campus and would like to buy from the SLC Tim Horton's before they go to their jobs. I know money is very tough for the university over the next 2 weeks. However, if you could somehow absorb the $76 in wages it costs to open at 6:30 am instead of 7:30 am, it would be much appreciated by the customers. I am sure the costs will be recovered when the campus returns to full swing.

 It sucks to stay until the last day of exams because of MSCI 261. It's one of the most useless courses I've had the pleasure of being forced to take.

It's amazing how people try to appease their guilt after hurting someone. If you think you hurt someone, deal with it. If you apologize, do it because you're sorry, not because you want to remove your guilt. If you do something sweet, do it because you care, not because you want to erase the guilt.

I didn't come here to become a parrot.

GF missed period despite being on birth control. I am scared shitless. I know sex is on everyone's minds all the time, and yeah it is fun, but the repercussions are heavy if you don't take the extra precaution needed. Be careful.

Is it just me or did Fall term tuition increase by about $600? Did I miss something?

The students working the grass crews on campus are so lazy. I watched out my res window as one of them went around the building with a string trimmer. She would shut it off, walk 5 feet, stop, fire it up again, rinse and repeat. I did this shit when I was in like grade 8, several hours a day, and moved way faster than this. I also frequently see them standing around, or hiding in the shed by REV.

OMG:
It's kind of irritating when profs post old exams and practice problems, and then you realize that all the questions on the sample problems are either also on the assignments from this term, or used as examples in lectures.

OMG:
I'm sick of people saying the people at this school suck! I've met tons of cool people. You're probably an asshole and/or close minded.

OMG:
The only reason I haven't switched out of UW at this point is because I'm going into my 4th year. This place is the biggest shithole I've ever been at, it doesn't care about it's students in the least unless you're an engineer.

OMG:
My skill at rote memorization is failing me as I age. Statistics, it's been a short and painful relationship, and I hope that come Monday morning we can both go our separate ways.
