1. If you are talking to your friends and standing in the middle, I promise you that your friend will not de-friend you if you move to the back 2. If the bus is packed, take off your huge back pack so we can fit more people. 3. If the bus is packed, don't take up two seats, if you think your backpack/bag/feet deserves a seat, then pay $3 for its fare 4. We rarely every see elderly people on the bus, but have some respect and offer them a seat. 5. MOVE to the effing back! I don't like to wait for the bus only to be told there is no more room and then see the back empty.
Such simple rules, that would make everyone's life a tad bit easier.
@2: How about I punch you in the face? Then, if you ask nicely, I won't do it again. Come on, the problem can be avoided through some very simple communication...
@RL. 2 here. what you said makes absolutely no sense regarding this post. OP is just wanting the general population to be a little more courteous and i agree. you punching me in the face is not courteous nor would your action, or lack there of, be influenced by "simple communication" in situations like a packed bus or crowded sidewalk because there would be no reason for that to happen.
and read what OP posted just above you for christ sake.
I agree with RL's analogy. People should follow rules of courtesy to begin with, not only after they've already inconvenienced people. And why should the onus be placed on the people who know how to be considerate to always step in?
@8: Because you can't control other people, and you need to take control of the situation if something is bothering you. Ideally, everyone should be more considerate, but since this is not the case in reality, it makes more sense to speak up and let people know rather than suffering silently.
^ I didn't say people should not speak up. I said that people should follow these rules.
Ideally, everyone should speak up, but since this is not the case in reality, it makes more sense to be considerate in the first place and follow these rules rather than being an asshole.
@6: OK, I actually do agree with you, communication is important, however, it would be much better if people put a bit of thought into their actions.
@7: Yeah, I agree. It was one of those "seemed good at the time" things.
@9: I have enough money for a few cars, however, I will not buy even one.
@12: Some people are criminals, they kill, rob and rape other people. Unfortunately we can't change people so maybe we should just try some dialogue.

all these "rules" can be avoided through communication. use it.

this should be common courtesy regardless of needing communication to state the obvious. pretty sure thats what OP is getting at.

Number 2. I do communicate people pretend like they can't hear you. That is why I have resorted to this.

you forgot the cardinal rule 0. Make enough money on co-op to buy yourself a car.
