8:30 class. Every. Single. Day. FML.
There's a new scheduling policy they've come up with emerging this winter. They want to stop as many conflicting classes as they can (within faculties) so lots of you can expect earlier and later classes, as well as more classes on fridays.
I hope those three hour classes are all at least 2 hours long, because 3 straight hours of class is nothing to complain about
Anyone else remember first year math? 4 courses in a row?
Every term since first year has had lectures starting at 8:30 am every morning and 3-4 back to back lectures until a lunch break.
I don't get it. What are you complaining about? this is university. HIGHER STUDIES. Stop whining, jackasses. PEOPLE DON'T GET A CHANCE TO BE WHERE YOU ARE. I am not one of those people who say that you should be happier because someone is worse off than you, but at least be thankful for being given a chance to pursue what you want!
@2: The new scheduling system won't be used until Spring.
@6, you know, you're right. Thank you. That may sound sarcastic, but I assure you, I'm being entirely genuine. Thanks.
@2 Well what scshunt said must be true, considering all of my classes for January are midday between 11:30 and 3:30, with only a couple early morning labs
My friends & I have 3 3hr classes this term for one of the days. I leave home at 9am & come back home at 10pm. I sucks, but it's only 1 day for 2 more months so i'm not complaining too much :) it would have sucked a lot more in the winter though
I somehow always end up with 3 to 4 back-to-back classes MWF. It's really not so bad. Just bring something you can munch on between classes.
i had this a few terms back t/th 3 back to back. Greatest thign ever. So much free time =).
OP@3 each is 1.5 hours I believe. @6 higher studies doesn't really happen if I'm late for class because slow bitches walking in the hallways. Shoving seems so rude, but, damn bitches getting in my way. @11 it's not the food I'm worrying about, it's the getting to class on time thing. I have extreme OCD and require a reserved seat in each class. But I feel kinda douchey to be that one kid who gets the prof to kick people out of my seat...
That's cute OP. Almost sounds like Eng.
Are you guys serious, you do realize in high school we started at 8:30 had 3 back to back classes then lunch and then 2 more classes. What a shock in uni you do the same thing.
^ In high school I'd get a higher mark in a class if I slept through all of it. Not so much in university...@OP: You are a douche for kicking people out. If you want a reserved seat, go talk to Disabilities Office, otherwise first come first serve like the for the rest of us peasants.
OP must be first year
Sympathy for OP if they are in the WLU/UW double degree. The scheduling is shit. Ten minutes to go from MC at UW to Bricker at WLU? Worst part was if you were two minutes late the prof would stop the class and make you apologize. Complete and utter bullshit.
monday nights going to suck. 7 - 10 pm class...
Boo hoo :( I have 7 classes on Mondays, with just 1-hour break during the day. Get a grip.
^have you seen a 2a ece schedule?
@15: High school is nothing compared to uni. That being said, OP is exaggerating.
@OP. 6 here.10 minutes between classes. TEN MINUTES. That's enough to walk from one side of the campus to another. Been here 2 years, so yes, I know what I'm saying.Learn about the shortcuts. You know some path is crowded? Hey, take the other one. DID I SAY TEN MINUTES BETWEEN CLASSES?! COMON! Make the most of it while you're here. You'll miss it when you're done your 4 years... or 5. Whatever.
@16 I am registered with OPD, that's how I got the reserved seats. You'd be surprised at the number of times my reserved seat sign is missing from my spot. And yes that is enough time, but it's rarely enough time to walk from class to class and still have my seat not being sat in. With or without OPD sign.
