Completely agree but the last line was unnecessary.
I think most people don't try hard enough but your experience could vary based on your program and how comfortable you are at meeting new people and keeping in touch with your current friends. In that case, try expanding your horizons, class is not a good place to meet new people.

During my undergrad, I literally made hundreds of great acquaintances and a number of close friends. If you're having a bad time at UW because of the social dynamics of the school, I'd highly recommend considering joining student unions.

The people who say the school and people at the school sucks are ones who already made up their mind before they got here. It's best to ignore people so negative. I much prefer the majority of people I've met here to people I've met at Western. They all seemed so... fake. Trying so hard to be "trendy" or whatever they seemed desperate. We don't give a shit.

The students are fine. It's the people running the university that are the problem.
