Just don't rely on advisors to give you the correct info. You are not eligible for a large portion of bursaries if you are not an Ontario resident. I had to learn the hard way after waiting until the end of term to find out my advisor was wrong. To be an Ontario resident you must have lived in Ontario for a number of months in a year while NOT going to school. Awesome system... now wonder this is a have-not province.

Stfu #1, you're a selfish moron. I'm pretty sure a lot of people know that there are a lot of bursaries just lying around. People don't apply for them because it's somewhat of a long process. People like you piss people like me off.

@ 9, 11: Stop whining over bursaries. You guys are eligible for OSAP and government scholarships and what not. And I personally know a bunch of you who receive OSAP and blow it off on parties and expensive vacations. While I sympathize that you guys work part-time jobs, I'm sorry you cant have the benefits of everything.
OP you're a dumb f*ck who doesn't understand that some people actually need these bursaries. And there are a lot of people who are working and require the bursary as well to get through school. People like you should learn when to keep your mouth shut because it's people like you who will cause the administration to cancel bursary opportunities.

8 here. Can't get osap either turns out I make just enough at my two FULL TIME jobs not to get it but don't make enough to pay for school, rent, gas, and food. I feel like I have the right to complain here.

@12 No, asshole, I'm not eligible for OSAP. I managed to be considered for bursaries through a loophole, but none of the few I can get ever pan out. My parents make too much money for me to qualify for full OSAP, but I have to pay my own way. What the fuck do you know about other people's situations? I haven't been to a party in years...
