That's not true.
You're doing it wrong.
LDRs may not work for you OP, and I'm sorry about that. They work for some though, and kudos to them.
I know people who live 6 hours away from their partner and they still manage to maintain successful relationships.
I live in TO, my bf in Boston... tough, lots of fights, but 2.5 years and counting
There is no point in trying to maintain a long term relationship if you are both going to die one day...
I've done it. Possible.
I've done it. It was absolute torture, but we got through it. When I realized I was all the way across the country and neither of us had any desire to pursue someone else's attention... I knew it would be okay. It's obviously not for everyone. It definitely requires a strong, confident personality on both parts on top of a solid foundation of trust.Back in first year, I would have NEVER expected to be in long term relationship I am in now, but it is what it is and I have no regrets! I am very, very happy.
If people in the Armed Forces can be away from their spouses for 8+ months, I think you can handle being away from your girlfriend for 4.
there is if you had my girl lol
Try going over to a different country across the ocean for a work term. Only a matter of time.. Oh well she was a Western chick anyway.
