OMG:
Dumb people crossing University at the train tracks! I secretly hope I get to see one of you dumb asses who run across the street in front of cars just to get to the median get run over and hit and propelled 40 feet into the air!

this OMG

    Get a grip.

I don't see how it's dumb unless the people are actually walking out in front of the cars.

If anything it's convenient for drivers because then they don't have to wait at a red light for them to cross.

I drive past here all the time. I'll admit it's annoying but I doubt it's necessary to post something as nasty as this.

  4. Anonymous Anonymous Says:

Yep, it's annoying. But you clearly don't know how long that light takes to change to a walk signal, and I know for a fact you sure as hell don't want to wait at a red light.

    Stop being such a jackass.

From the perspective of someone who has been both the pedestrian and the driver in this incident - it's 10 times more annoying to be a pedestrian trying to cross University at any point. Yes, both positions are annoying, but it's really difficult to find a good time to cross that street. And the light takes a LONG time to change. Suck it up and realize that life isn't always going to cater to your every whim.

And I secretly hope you're the dumb ass who runs me over, so your sorry ass screws itself over for the rest of its pathetic life :).

I cross at the train tracks all the time but I always press the button and wait for the light to go green. However, there are also times when I'm pressed for time and there are no cars coming either way and I just go.

    lol

I'm willing to bet that OP probably almost hit a pedestrian; probably one that stepped out without looking or thinking, or maybe who just expected that all of the traffic would stop for them.

As a driver, nothing really pisses me off more than ignorant pedestrians who step out into traffic at inappropriate times, who risk their life, and who risk my life too, because they've just gotta be on the other side of the street ASAP. I don't want to spend years in jail because you thought you could out run 4 ton vehicle.

I also really hate the aggressive pedestrians; the ones who don't wait above the curb, but the ones who stop in the bicycle lane and are just teetering into traffic. Is being an extra 3 feet closer to possible death really going to help them get to class on time? Why are they encroaching on the space for my car? I have other traffic to worry about, and I don't want to have to veer into the adjacent lane to avoid running over someone's foot.

OP here: I don't drive. I merely watch from one side of the road as fuckers risk their lives to be on time 2 minutes faster. Even today, I saw people almost get hit by a car withing a amtter of 30 seconds. Fucking unbelieveable....
