OMG:
My heart cries every time I use one of those crazy ass sinks in MC. I am surprised at how the best engineering university in Canada doesn't give a damn about the mindless waste of water and energy.

this OMG

The best engineering university probably had those sinks since MC was built in the 70s or 80s (?), and they were built to last... :D

(On another note, I find it reminiscent of elementary school)

We are hardly the 'best engineering university in Canada'... but we could be :)

  3. Anonymous Anonymous Says:

Ha, 70s or 80s. MC was built in the 60s.

This is Canada. We have alot of water.

you must have missed the cycle of water unit in grade school. it's not wasted.

In my head you're complaining about those "crazy ass-sinks" and I simply cannot take you seriously.

I agree that we as a country are pretty wasteful of water, but really replacing those sinks would be like a drop in the ocean. Grey water systems!

those sinks are great! you don't have to touch the tap!

I'm pretty sure the waste is minimal.

How many cases of beer does Brick Brewery send out of our watershed? Sinks are literally a drop in the bucket.

  8. Blogger Modus Operandi Says:

^ I've never thought of that. Good point.

  9. Anonymous Anonymous Says:

how is the waste minimum? You are using not more than 15 percent of the water coming out as a shower all over the circular sink. And besides that the water is simply just heated and thrown away.

  10. Anonymous Anonymous Says:

^ maybe you could carry around a thimble during the day? Fill it at the water fountain and use that to wash your hands? Then you wouldn't waste much at all. Ass.

Those sinks are made for high traffic areas, where like 5 people need to use the sink at the same time, so it actually reduces water usage. However, MC usually doesn't have 5 people needing to use the sink.

But, you can't leave it running so that helps save water.
