I'm up for getting rid of the parking lot and either putting a building or green space there. Both of those would be a significantly better use of space since the parking lot since's empty most of the day.
@8 are you kidding me?! Do you know how much profit parking services make a year? They "donate" millions of dollars a year to the university.
@9 when are you on campus? during peak hours, you can't find a parking spot anywhere except lot x. Though I do feel that there could be better uses for the lots.
buy a parking pass, 160$ for the term is exceeedingly cheap, and be happy that you even can park, want to park at york? 2000$ doesn't even get you on campus
maybe I'm just lucky but I never get ticketed and I park in x all the time... also my car isn't registered with the school so the tickets don't mean anything unless I register apparently.
@13 or if you get more than 3 then you get your car towed

X Lot is free in the evenings and on weekends.
parking lots need repairs and repairs cost money. Repairs are based on oil prices...

@8 Lot X is only free Friday evening and on weekends.
Also to people saying to just walk, it's difficult to do so with your hockey equipment.
