Welcome to a site that caters to hundreds or thousands of academics that probably haven't even held a girl's hand. Combine that with the high concentration of students from other cultures where misogyny is the norm, and you have the perfect storm of virginal males who act like they fuck supermodels on a daily basis and then throw them out of bed.

Sure there are almost certainly people born and raised here in Ontario that treat women this way, but if you grow up in a culture that gives women absolutely no rights, you will see them as nothing.

@9 - Being respectful to a woman shouldn't be contingent upon how attractive she is.

Don't care about chivalry, it's sort of a dumb concept and was invented by the Church to try and stop knights from raping and pillaging all the time.
Cordiality I can get behind, because I think I prefer to respect all genders, treat everyone nicely and you'll have less people angry at you.

Just accept that UW has ugly women. If they want to rail and state that they should be appreciated for their minds that is fine but they are still ugly. For those that state we don't judge by appearances stop kidding yourselves. Nobody believes that bullshit, it's nice to think you live in a fairy tale but life isn't like that. @15 Chivalry WAS invented by the church for that reason, however, the meaning has changed to fit modern life. Chivalry is (from Webster's latest version) a form of being a gentleman.

I fall into the category of a person who lacks self-confidence, motivation, social skills, and believe myself to be fairly unattractive. I know this is my fault, I don't blame others for the fact that my person is a train wreck. That said, I think many people who say that girls wont date them need to look in a mirror first.

@16 probably went through something rough with some girl who hurt him and is just venting. Its sad that you have to look down at all woman just because of what one girl did, but its okay, it'll get better
