OMG:
Being a prospective graduate student isn't easy with the over saturation in so many fields. Do I go with the program that will grant me a more glamorous degree or the less glamorous program that I will more likely get a job from, but less social approval from peers? Could the more glamorous program work out?

Go with what you want to do with the rest of your life.
Get a regular job or become the top of your field?

Don't do anything for glamour. You don't have to impress anyone but yourself. Do what you like.

Unless you have different motivations, you should go for the one that will get you the most happiness. Glamour will fulfill you now, but ultimately unless you really value face or class this will wear off. Better job prospects is a tricky one to judge, but generally employment makes people happier. This obviously does not hold if you hate your job. In the end it is your decision, but I would advise going with the option that you think you'll enjoy doing, especially if it is more likely to result in a job.

I feel like based on your wording, you already know the right answer.

do what you love, and do it well. in the long run, you'll be fine if you are diligent and honest.

I think #3 is right, specifically with this:
"Better job prospects is a tricky one to judge, but generally employment makes people happier. This obviously does not hold if you hate your job. I see what you're saying though. I.e. a Masters of Poli Sci might not get you a job while if you do post-grad certificate program in business admin, you might be able to land an alright paying salary.
