    But seriously, people were drinking excessively beforehand, this is to try and convince people to go earlier. With cheap drinks as well, the idea is to make the "popular" part of the night earlier.

    Also, note: $3 is compensated after 3 drinks. You're paying less if you show up early or you drink a lot. I seriously think it's a pretty cool plan.
