OMG:
So today GRT reached a new level of fail:

The 12, due at Marshall/Carter at 9:07, stopped at the top of the hill for 10 mins. Every bus before it was on time and went down the hill, no problem, as well as 3 school buses.

Frustrated, I walked up the hill and asked the bus driver if he was broken down. He said, "Oh no, it's too slippery. Can't do it with these buses" and remained there until the next bus came, passed him, and went down the hill no problem, picking up 40 people who were now 20 mins late.

Incompetence at its finest.

this OMG

Could be one of the older shit buses, or just had bad tires.

I've never had a problem with the GRT, you people have over the top expectations or the worst fucking luck on the planet.

  2. Anonymous Anonymous Says:

Not worst luck, nor top expectations. I expect the bus to come within reason, ie 2 min, within the posted time. To have the bus come whenever it wants repeatedly when I have to get to a job making me late is unacceptable. Schedules are for a reason.

^ I only get about 1 bad experience with GRT per term

last term, it seemed like 2 12 busses were missing in a row.

This term, an ixpress left at least 4 minutes earlier than scheduled.

Generally, it's nice. The drivers are far nicer than the ones found on the TTC, and they're pretty accurate with their timing too.

@2 It's the winter faggot. Expect delays.

  5. Anonymous Anonymous Says:

Heh, how about Vaughn/Richmond Hill people studying at York & UofT going on without any buses for a month during VIVA-YRT workers' strike last fall?

  6. Anonymous Anonymous Says:

@4 this is for year round dipshit.

  7. Anonymous Anonymous Says:

I was on that bus! I was 40 minutes late, not 20! nonetheless, this shit happens and I still love the GRT!

  8. Anonymous Anonymous Says:

None of you fucking people have ever taken the TTC.

  9. Anonymous Anonymous Says:

Would you rather the bus driver tried to make it down the hill and crashed the bus, endangering the health of all his passengers? Even if there was only a small chance of this happening, the bus driver may have made the right decision. Have a positive outlook and empathize with the bus driver for making what was probably a difficult decision.
