Yesterday in the SLC there was this presentation by a bunch of religious people about how evolution doesn't explain the origin of life, how it's been refuted (in the 1970s no less!), etc.

Now I understand the need for multiple viewpoints but:

1) The presentation makes no sense because the the Theory of Evolution does not explain the origins of life. It does however explain the change in organisms over time.

2) Evolution is one of the theories with the most evidence behind it. Hell, if you don't believe in evolution you better not believe in gravity, because we have less evidence for gravity than we do evolution!

So really, if you're going to have a different viewpoint, at least choose a viewpoint with some semblance of reality behind it.

I just got offered a job as sales Jr. associate for a big company, and my job would consist of living in different parts of the world visiting different branches of the company(constantly moving)... my gf and love of my life decided that that's not the life that she wants so she left me today.

- women, minorities, people with disabilities - or anything that might place you at a disadvantage in the workplace
- anyone with mental health issues

Anyone who falls in these categories and voted Conservative have voted for the party to give them the least amount of rights out of any other party.

40% of the Canadians who voted, voted for the bottom line and their own greed before voting for the progression of Canada, and helping each other. Disappointing.
