OMG:
To everyone who has complained about the University rebranding, in particular the website redesign. They have been asking the students for input for months, so it's your own fault for not paying attention.
The website: they ran 6 Phases of Public Opinion and Usability Testing, which were announced in every media outlet available to school admin. They built the website based on the comments they got from the testing - which were largely positive!
So if you hate it so much, it's your own fault for not giving a crap and trying to get involved when you had the chance.

I got involved. I told them my opinion at every step. They went ahead with it and I still hate it. This argument makes no sense because you're making assumptions about the people who dislike it.

@2 Suck it up, seriously. Change happens all the time, get used to it. This school does not conform only to your needs and opinions. It tries to represent the greater majority of the people who participated in the input.

the lasers have been subdued and even though the current identity feels a bit out of date now (never mind a few years from now..) it ended up being alright
i like that the university is finally pushing for some sort of cohesive identity, even if it's not perfect

@3 I realize that. You missed my point: "So if you hate it so much, it's your own fault for not giving a crap and trying to get involved when you had the chance." is blatantly not true for a lot of people.

This OMG seems uncannily familiar with another one posted earlier...
And any logical view of your attempt at an argument will see it crumble like a dry cookie.

@6, OP here:
This wasn't an attempt at an argument nearly as much as it was me venting my frustration at the ignorant cries of 'why did they ask for no input!'
However, I love logical arguments, so if you have one against the new site, I would love to hear it.
:)

I also submitted a negative comment with every change they made with the website. And a lot of people I know also expressed their opinions, so I don't know where you're getting this from, OP. At least most people I know hate it AND gave feedback. Stop generalizing/stereotyping.

Who gives a fuck? Do you people not have more important things to worry about in your lives than the school's website? Christ.
