OMG: The professor of a ridiculously disorganised and hypocritical online course that I'm taking posted on the discussion board postponing our assignment marks for the Nth time, with a huge typo on the word "assignment". This course emphasises professionalism, proofreading, and ethos. Our final exam is over and still no marks. A fellow student replied the prof's post with: "Hello Professor, I just wanted to tell you that you should have proofread your subject line in your message. It really hurt your ethos. If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to e-mail me back. Thanks. :)"

Except for the "final exam" bit, this could have been about PDEng.

Fuck, this has to be ENGL 210F. Don't worry OP, those of us that have been there, we pity you.

What's the course???
I am taking ENGL109 distance ed this summer, I hope it's not the same prof!

It sounds like PDEng. You will notice this course is actually not SO bad if you take the next one.

nah it's def ENGL 210F, i have taken all the pdeng courses and they are more useless and disorganized than 210F.

This course was the biggest waste of time. Even the hyperlinks on the "modules" were all outdated and broken. The prof spent ZERO time preparing material or making clear instructions. ENGL 210F can shove it.

I'm poster 2... seems like the prof's actually changed since I took this class and it's still this bad? Wow. You'd think they'd have fixed this up a year and a half later.

Fuck ENGL 210F. I just finished that shit distance ed and it was fucking awful. Fuck my TA too that stupid bitch who couldn't tell the difference between professionalism and her giant fat ass.....seriously shes rather large and unattractive.

op here. glad i'm not the only one pissed at this course! it sucks that we have to lose marks to a course as dumb and disorganised as this, and not because it's legitimately that challenging. it's just not fair. most of us need this course to be a part of our faculty/major too.
April 22, 2009 at 10:41 PM
op again. i meant, this course is gonna pull down the marks for the arts/bus and engl major students...

Been there done that. Took it in Fall 2007 I think.
One of questions I remember answering either for an assignment or final exam asked about what the communication-related benefits are of having computers.
I remember specifically pointing out the spelling error that was made in the question, saying that a computer has spellcheck to fix those kind of mistakes.
I was pretty angry about how the resume was marked too. They say keep it simple and condensed, preferably one page. I get 6/10 on it for not going into detail about every single job.
