Well typically Asian culture is very repressed and not as open compared to the Western World (non existance of psychology in China, Japanese ideology of having a false and real face). Combined with hammering the nail sticking out (you must conform to find a good job and escape poverty/make your family proud), bottling everything up (Chinese rural females have a ridiculously high suicide rate), and really no way to express sexuality (via media, music, or anything really), it's pretty unhealthy.
Things are getting slightly better, China now has somewhat legalized sex conventions and Japan is becoming a bit more expressive in general. Still a long way to go though, but hopefully you can kind of understand why Asians luv dat tentacle pr0n.

There's no such thing as an Asian fetish, you retard. Asians are humans. It's called preferrence.
